This app is for my speech-language colleagues and parents who are motivated to help their child at home! It is designed to help children with one or more disorders of articulation. The playful support, the illustrations, the diversity of the games aim to make this work of automation of the sound less daunting and encourage children to make more effort. Progress will therefore be faster.
The exercises are progressive. Each sound is proposed in a list of words in initial situation, median or final. Some particularly difficult sounds, such as R and L can be worked first individually then in complex groups.
The amount of words and illustrations on offer also makes this application a great tool for enriching vocabulary.
The Speech-Language App has been developed with my help. My name is Frédérique Pétroffe, I am a speech therapist graduate and I practice in Provins in Seine et Marne for many years.
I have selected and recorded in the studio all the words in this application so that even at home, kids can train with excellent sound quality and hinge.
Note:
- These exercises can not replace sessions done with a speech therapist. But if everyone plays the game, they can represent additional help, saving precious time for everyone: the speech therapist, the parents and especially for the children who often suffer a lot from being able to be understood as they would like ...
- Before performing these exercises, children must already be able to articulate the sound correctly in isolation, then in simple syllables. As a result, with the exercises and games offered in this application, they will gradually be able to place the sound inside a word and automate its pronunciation.
